Welcome
WAUW - It is really a pleasure to host this International Learning Conference in Copenhagen. We are so pleased to be able to gather so many high skilled people from near and far. We have designed the day of course with 4MAT and planned learning workshops with brilliant facilitators under the concept Successful Learning. You will during the day have the opportunity to use many senses and hopefully be inspired by the wonderful network.
Facilitator Hanne Houbak
Hanne Houbak and the company About Learning A/S is the European 4MAT partner. Hanne is passionate about learning and train the trainer programs. She is preferred 4MAT training partner in Europe. She has been working with blended learning - e-learning, online training and face to face - for more than 25 years in many Danish and international companies. She has the pleasure to work with high skilled trainers and facilitators all over the world. She believes that together we always make greater results.
4MAT - Passion for Learning
We are so proud to have the opportunity to welcome Dr. Bernice McCarthy in Denmark. She will of course talk about 4MAT, her passion for learning and all her brilliant work on creating a model that helps children, people and organizations all over the world. She will talk about all the theories that has inspired her during her work. Perhaps she will also lift the veil for some of the funny experiences during her work and meetings with professors and experts. A long life journey with high focus on learning.
Facilitator Dr. Bernice McCarthy
Dr. Bernice McCarthy is the founder of 4MAT. She is a prolific author and presenter and has conducted workshops and keynote sessions on effective learning at organizations worldwide including school districts across the U.S. and Canada as well as in higher education and government.
Presence through voice
Do you know what a powerful a tool your voice is? Would you like to train your presentation skills working with the competencies you already have in you? Presence through voice & body will give you the tools to best use your voice, body language and personal appearance, when interacting with other people. Knowing how best to present yourselves is valuable knowledge whether used in leadership, teaching, presenting for groups, or at meetings.
Facilitator Merete Nørgaard
Merete Nørgaard is a professional voice coach, with more than 18 years of experience in training leaders and trainers to develop their authentic expression and ability to master the stage, with professional voice training, focus on body language and skills from the theatre world. Merete is originally a trained actress and holds a master degree in theater and voice training. She has helped many leaders in the Danish business and cultural sector to improve their appearance.
Experiential learning
Learning must be fun! Experiential learning is the process of learning through experience and is defined as "learning through reflection on doing” which is deeply implemented in the 4MAT model. Hands-on learning can be a form of experiential learning, but only when you remember to involve the participants reflection. In this workshop Vagn will facilitate exercises that makes sure that we all are active. We play and we learn with the body.
Facilitator Vagn Strandgaard
Vagn Strandgaard has more than 40 years of experience as a professional consultant and Executive Coach for Top Management in Danish International Companies. He has facilitated events and workshops in more that 24 countries. Together with his wife Lotte Møller Sørensen he is the author and co-author to more than 40 books within Organizational development, Leadership, Teambuilding, Motivation and Empowerment, Life skills for young people...
Digital Learning
Have you ever (almost) fallen asleep during a traditional e-learning course? Have you desperately tried to focus and remember 30-90 minutes of digital click-next training, only to realize that most of it was gone immediately after the test?
This agonizing exercise is no longer necessary. Digital learning has evolved and adapted to the way people actually learn, and modern technology now gives us exciting new ways to engage learners and help employees get access to knowledge when they need it. In this workshop, Peter will introduce modern learning principles and discuss how this can solve some of your current training and learning challenges.
Facilitator Peter Simonsen
Peter Simonsen is co-owner and Learning Director in BLENDIT. He has worked with digital learning for more than a decade and is passionate about making sure that we are solving the right problems. This also means moving the industry from old-fashioned elearning to modern, bite-sized and much more user-oriented versions. Peter is an experienced facilitator and has worked with many of the biggest Danish and international organizations.
4MAT - Make yourselves and each other shine
In this session Arne talks about how we use the different learning styles to create a successful winner culture in organizations - how we make ourselves and each other shine.
The same goes for coaching. How can one, when coaching, figure out what challenges the individual is facing? Which obstacles need to be defeated related to the learning style? Where do you find your strengths and how do you decide what you need to work on to improve and get a better life? Arne also use 4MAT when he designs his popular public speaks.
Facilitator Arne Nielsson
Arne Nielsson is 10 times world champion, coach and awarded public speaker - and of course 4MAT Master. In close teamwork he together with Hanne Houbak and journalist Anne Hermansen have published the danish 4MAT book “Do you know, who you are?”.
Learning Harvest
Adaption - WHAT IF…Dr. Bernice McCarthy and Hanne Houbak will together wrap up, answer questions and facilitate a celebration of the learning of the whole day. As Hanne often says, when she ends her 4MAT training: “We will finish with an exercise that makes sure, that you will never forget, that you have been here…”
